Our Misson

At Brazil-021 School of Jiu-Jitsu, we aspire to more than just winning medals. Our mission is to foster health, well-being, self-confidence, and mental resilience in a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment. We aim to equip our students with the skills and mindset to overcome life's challenges both on and off the mat.

Our History

Founded by Jiu-Jitsu black belts Andre "Negão" Terencio and Hannette Staack, Brazil-021 School of Jiu-Jitsu was born from a vision to unify its staff and create a solid team. Our goal extends beyond training champions; we strive to nurture good citizens and family members.
Brazil-021 welcomes all: men, women, children, and those unsure of their abilities. Our name and logo draw inspiration from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil—the cradle of Jiu-Jitsu. The "021" in our name represents Rio's area code, honoring the art's roots. As Jiu-Jitsu has gone global, we've adopted an English foundation in our name: BRAZIL-021 SCHOOL OF JIU-JITSU.
Today, our team spans across Brazil, the United States, and Canada.

The Brazil-021 Philosophy

At Brazil-021, our philosophy sets us apart. While we value technical proficiency, we believe character development is equally crucial in martial arts training. We reject the "transactional" model where knowledge is simply exchanged for tuition. Instead, we're committed to improving not just our students' Jiu-Jitsu skills, but also their overall quality of life and that of those around them.
